Huawei has released the P8 back in April 2015, while the P8 Lite has came one month later, being the weaker version of it. Today we will compare their specs and features and you’ll decide if it’s worth buying the flagship or the mid-range smartphone is good enough.

Designs

The Huawei P8 measures 144.9×72.1×6.4mm and weights 144 grams. It has a premium design, a slim metal body with a black glass strip along the upper edge, but it lacks a fingerprint scanner. On the other hand, the Huawei P8 Lite is thicker and lighter, as it measures 143×70.6×7.7mm and weights 131 grams, and while the design is similar, the device is made of plastic in stead of metal.



Displays

The Huawei P8 has an IPS-NEO LCD display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 424 ppi. The Huawei P8 Lite has a smaller IPS LCD display of 5-inch that supports a lower resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 294 ppi.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Huawei P8 features a HiSilicon Kirin 930/935 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 2.0GHz, a Mali-T628 MP4 graphics card and 3GB of RAM. The Huawei P8 Lite has a HiSilicon Kirin 620 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, a Mali-450MP4 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.

Storages

The Huawei P8 has been released in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 64GB while the Huawei P8 Lite comes in an internal storage variant of 16GB. Both devices feature a microSD card slot that supports memory cards up 256GB for storage expansion.

Cameras

The Huawei P8 sports a primary camera of 13MP that features OIS, autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, HDR, touch focus and a secondary camera of 8MP. The Huawei P8 Lite has a primary camera of 13MP that features dual-LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, HDR, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

Both devices feature non-removable batteries, but the 2680 mAh one that powers the Huawei P8 is more powerful than the 2200 mAh battery that the Huawei P8 Lite features.
