Today we will compare the Alcatel X1, an entry –level smartphone with a premium design, and the LG X cam, which has more powerful specs, but it’s not a flagship. Both devices have been released last month, and come with affordable prices, but if you’re undecided which one to buy, we’ll try to describe them as accurate as possible.

Designs

The Alcatel X1 measures 145×69.2x7mm and weights 140 grams. It resembles the iPhone 4, as it has a glass back, but with a large “X” described by Alcatel as a 3D spin effect. Also, its edges are protected with a smooth metal trim. On the other hand, the LG X cam is slightly slimmer and lighter as it measures 147.5×73.6×6.9mm and weights 118 grams. It has a plastic body with curved edges and on the back there’s a square camera bump (with rounded corners) housing two sensors, a flash and laser autofocus.



Displays

The Alcatel X1 has a super AMOLED display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 294 ppi. The LG X cam has a bigger IPS LCD display that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 424 ppi.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Alcatel X1 features a Qualcomm MSM8929 Snapdragon 415 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.0GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The LG X cam has a Mediatek MT6753 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.14GHz, a Mali-T720MP3 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.

Storages

Both devices have been released with an internal storage of 16GB which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

The Alcatel X1 sports a primary camera of 13MP that features dual-LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, HDR, panorama, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP. The LG X cam has a dual-primary camera of 13MP + 5MP that features LED flash, autofocus, face detection, panorama, touch focus, geo-tagging and a secondary camera of 8MP.

Batteries

The Alcatel X1 features a non-removable battery of 2150 mAh which is less powerful than the 2500 mAh non-removable battery of the LG X cam.
