Since Pokémon Go has been released, we have noticed that a good amount of gamers are playing it every day for many hours. If you don’t know what Pokémon Go is, we’ll tell you that this is an augmented reality mobile game that is using the GPS to get your current location and use the camera to bring Pokémons in the augmented reality.

Pokémon Go comes with some hiding secrets, which also includes the popular electric Pokémon that’s called Pikachu, which is controlled by Ash in the popular TV series. We are pretty sure that anyone who loves this TV series would love to have Pikachu as their first pet and today we will guide you how to do that.

After opening Pokémon Go game for the first time, you will need to sign-up for an account. You will also be guided by Professor Willow that will give you a quick tutorial of the game. Then you will see three started Pokémons that you can choose from, as follows:

– Squirtle (water-type)
– Bulbasaur (grass-type)
– Charmander (fire-type).

After selecting either one of these three types of Pokémons, you will start your first battle. However, there is a trick that you can do in order to get Pikachu as your first Pokémon. According to Polygon, you will NOT need to select any of the three choices and instead, you will just walk away from them.

Once you are far enough from that location, you will notice that the three options will disappear, but they will reappear next to you. Repeat this process 4 times by walking away from the location until you will notice a “yellow mouse” among the choices.

It seems that this might take about 40-50 minutes until the Pikachu will appear, so make sure that you have at least 1 hour to spare for this. Keep in mind that you will not get any advantage by getting Pikachu as your starter Pokémon, but if you are a fan of the TV series, you will surely want to have it.
