According to rumors, HTC is currently developing two Nexus 2016 smartphones that are codenamed Sailfish (S1) and Marlin (M1). According to the rumored specifications that these two smartphones will come with, the Sailfish (S1) will arrive as a successor of the LG Nexus 5X that has been released last year, while the Marlin (M1) will actually be a flagship smartphone.

The Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2-inch display that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. According to rumors, the Google Nexus 2016 Sailfish will come with a 5-inch display that will support full a full HD resolution.
The Nexus 5X has a Snapdragon 808 chipset, a hexa-core processor clocked at 1.84GHz and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has been released in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 32GB.
The upcoming Google Nexus 2016 Sailfish will be powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz that will be backed by 4GB of RAM. When it comes to storage, this upcoming smartphone will come with an internal one of 32GB, but there are chances that it will be released in multiple storage option also.
The Nexus 5X sports a primary camera of 12.3MP and a secondary one of 5MP. The Google Nexus 2016 Sailfish is expected to come with a primary camera of 12MP and a secondary camera of 5MP.
The Google Nexus 5X comes pre-installed with Android Marshmallow OS and it will receive an official update for the Android N sometime soon. As expected, the Google Nexus 2016 Sailfish will come pre-installed with the Android N.

The LG Nexus 5X is powered by a 2700 mAh battery, while the Google Nexus 2016 Sailfish is expected to have a slightly more powerful battery of 2770 mAh.
The Google Nexus 5X has been released with a price of $379 (16GB internal storage variant) and $429 (32GB internal storage variant). The Google Nexus 2016 Sailfish is expected to be released with a price of $399.
