This is a good week for Dragon Ball fans as there are new details about the upcoming game entitled Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The game is a sequel to the very successful Dragon Ball Xenoverse released in 2015.
Bandai Namco, the company responsible for the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games, has stated that they have scheduled Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s release for the 25th of October 2016 for PS 4 and Xbox One and it will also be launched for Windows on October 28 via Steam.
The company also mentioned that they have been working on the soundtrack together with Steve Aoki – a Grammy nominee DJ.
The artist himself admitted that he has taken some of the iconic Dragon Ball Z series soundtracks and has made a remix version of them. Two of those songs are We Gotta Power and Cha-La Head-Cha-La. The artist also stated that he was very eager to contribute to the upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 soundtrack because he had grown up watching the series and this is his chance to leave him mark in the history of Dragon Ball Z.
In terms of gameplay, gamers will encounter many of the known villains and those villains will be able to join forces and recruit other evil characters. The goal of the latter group is to change certain events in that past like battle for example, thus changing the future into a world where they have absolute power.
The game will feature missions such as exploring map towns via flying or riding various vehicles or infiltrating Frieza’s crew. Apart from that, players will also see the main do Kamehameha and transform to Super Saiyan 3. In case you don’t remember, Kamehameha is that awesome energy attack we kept seeing during Dragon Ball battles in the series and in the movie.
