The iPhone 6s has been released last fall, while the Moto Z is expected to hit the stores this fall. Today we will compare these two smartphones and let you decide if you want to wait for the debut of the Moto Z, or you’ll go with the iPhone 6s flagship that supports 3D Touch technology.
The iPhone 6s measures 138.3×67.1×7.1mm and weights 143 grams. It looks identical to its predecessor, but it comes in a new color option – Rose Gold, and the aluminum alloy is more solid. On the other hand, the Moto Z is slimmer and lighter, as it measures 153.3×75.3×5.2mm and weights 136 grams. Its body is made of aircraft-grade aluminum and has a stainless steel frame. Lenovo allows you to customize the device via the Moto Maker program.
The iPhone 6s has a LED-backlit IPS LCD display of 4.7-inch that supports a resolution of 1334×750 pixels at 326 ppi. The Moto Z comes with a bigger AMOLED display of 5.5-inch that supports a higher resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 535 ppi.

The iPhone 6s features an Apple A9 chipset, a dual-core Twister CPU clocked at 1.84GHz, a PowerVR GT7600 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The Moto Z has a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.6GHz and a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 2.15GHz, an Adreno 530 graphics card and 4GB of RAM.
The iPhone 6s has been released in three internal storage variants of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB, which can’t be expanded, because the phone doesn’t feature a microSD card slot. On the other hand, the Moto Z is expected to be released in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, but you will be able to expand it up to 256GB.
The iPhone 6s sports a primary camera of 12MP that features dual-LED flash, phase detection autofocus, touch focus, face detection, geo-tagging, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Moto Z comes with a better primary camera of 13MP that features laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, OIS, geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP.
The iPhone 6s is powered by a non-removable battery of 1715 mAh which is less powerful than the 2600 non-removable battery of the Moto Z.
