The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and the OnePlus 3 are known as the most trending phones at the moment. They are also the phones of 2016, as both of them were introduced in January (Redmi) and June (OnePlus) this year. This is a factor that puts an accent to the newest features on the market.

But how do both of these phones compare in general?

First and foremost, their dimensions and weight are similar, with minimal differences. Both of them feature a 5,5 inch screen with around 150 millimetres length and 160 grams weight. Both packed with a dual SIM feature, they are compact and nicely designed.

The screen resolution is what comes next in this review. Here, both of the phones are packed with 16 million colors, but the only difference is that the Redmi Note 3 has a IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, while the OnePlus 3 has the legendary AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, which in our opinion is the better alternative.

Nexus 6P vs. OnePlus 3

The OnePlus 3 is ‘newer’ when it comes to the Android version as well – using the v6.0.1 Marshmallow ahead of the Lollipop present in the Redmi Note 3. Aside from the dual core 2.15 GhZ Kryo and dual core 1.6 GHz Kryo CPU the OnePlus 3 comes with, Redmi Note 3 is a phone that supports a quad core Cortex CPY with 1.4 and 1.8 GHz alternatives.

Both of the phones use a Snapdragon chipset – the Redmi Note 3 features the Snapdragon 650 while the OnePlus 3 features a Snapdragon 820 – a slightly better alternative. When it comes to storage, the OnePlus 3 comes as a winner – with 64 GB of internal storage and 6 GB of RAM that easily win over the 16 GB internal storage and 2 GB RAM the Redmi Note is packed with.

If you are wondering which one of these phones has a better camera, OnePlus again steals the fame. With the amazing 16 megapixel camera supporting 2160p@30fps and a minimalistic pixel size of only 1,12 µm – this camera has a lot of features. Although Redmi Note has a 16 megapixel camera as well, the video shooting remains to 1080p at 30fps. The secondary camera in the OnePlus 3 is a 8 megapixel one – again better than the 5 megapixel secondary camera in the Redmi Note 3.

In the end, we can definitely say that the OnePlus 3 is a better phone on paper – and in practice as well. The better performance, sound, camera and battery life can probably assure you that buying this phone means having the best features on the market.
