Yes! There is a Minecraft movie in the making! Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait three whole years until we actually see it. This is what we know so far about the Upcoming Minecraft movie.

Producer Lee Roy revealed the tagline for and it basically presents a multiverse where people can enter and feel the live action version of the Minecraft experience and that the producer was shooting for the Jurassic World audience.

Furthermoer, Roy revealed that Mojang – the company responsible for the Minecraft game – is very involved in the film’s development. This is important because that way, any schenge, improvement or adjustment made by Mojang to the games can be communicated to movie’s producers and they will in turn include it in the movie. Not only that, but ideas from the movie could also be implemented into future Minecraft games. He also mentioned that while he doesn’t really know what elements from the movie might go in the game, Mojang will know exactly what elements of the game will go in the movie.

Perhaps that is so because of copyright considerations.

We think we can all agree that the Minecraft movie will probably resemble to some degree to the Lego movie because they have many things in common. They both have square like characters and both feature building things out of different parts. The major difference is that one is real and the other one is digital.

But we’re sure it will be fun and it will bring a lot of people in the cinema halls because Minecraft is a relatively new game that has gained an impressive amount of success among many age categories.

Supposedly the upcoming Minecraft game will be released in 3D and IMAX on the 24th of May in 2019. That’s three long years from now!
