Descent DLC is the third map pack that will be released for Black Ops 3. This new DLC also brings the latest chapter in the Zombies story of the game and it is named Gorod Krovi. The Zombies story continues in Russia during the World War 2, in an alternate timeline when some “different” enemies are facing off. To make things even better, you should know that the story also brings dragons, which we’re not sure why they are actually present in this story.
As we’ve told you above, the new Descent DLC comes with a map pack that contains the following new multiplayer maps: Empire, Rumble, Cryogen and Berserk. Below we’re going to talk a bit about each of the new 4 multiplayer maps:
– Empire: If you have loved the Raid map from Black Ops II, then you should know that this medium-sized map makes its way to the Black Ops 3 game. It contains an authentic Roman villa that has been “recreated by a modern-day eccentric billionaire”. However, the new classic map has been “adapted” to the gameplay mechanics of Black Ops 3.
– Cryogen: This new map is located far off the coast in the Dead Sea, where the world’s most dangerous criminals are hold frozen. In this map, players will be able to use the wall running attacks to surprise their enemies.
– Rumble: Rumble is a stadium where giant robots will battle to the roar of the crowd. This is a medium-sized map that comes with a high-speed combat in the central arena, where players will be able to battle through fallen mechs and pyrotechnics.
– Berserk: The entrance of this map is guarded by the Ancient sentinels from a lost civilization. Players will need to control the center bridge and fight through blizzards as they navigate through this medium-sized map that’s has wooden buildings, tight chokepoints and deadly rocky outcroppings.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3: Descent DLC pack will be available for the players who have purchased the Black Ops 3 season pass that costs 50 dollars. However, if you want to purchase this new DLC separately, you will need to pay 15 dollars for it.
The new DLC can already be pre-ordered from the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store. The players that will pre-order it from the PlayStore will receive a Gorod Krovi dynamic theme for the PlayStation 4.
The Black Ops 3: Descent DLC will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC on July 12, 2016.
