Nintendo Releases Some Details About Upcoming Pokémon Sun and Moon
Nintendo recently released a trailer that showed various details about its upcoming Pokémon Sun and Moon games, which are set for public sale on Nov. 18. The games will also introduce a legendary mascot along with new water, grass and fire-type Pokémon.
Of the new Pokémon, the fire type resembles a disinterested cat. The grass/flying type is Litten who looks like an owl with a bow tie. And, the water type Pokémon closely resembles a seal. The names for the legendary mascots has not yet been released. It appears, looking at the posters for the games, that Pokémon Sun is going to be about a lion and Pokémon Moon is going to be about a bat.
The graphics are going to be similar to the ones seen with Pokémon X and Y, which were the first to have 3D models for people and Pokémon in the game.
It appears that Pokémon Sun and Moon’s setting will be in the Alola region, and the maps on these games are bigger than in previous Pokémon games. It will also have 3D rendering similar to the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games.
There’s not a lot that’s known about these games, but it’s bound to offer up new monsters and battles along with a host of gameplay improvements.
What the world does know is that Pokémons from Alpha Sapphire, Omega Ruby, X and Y and the 3DS versions for Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow can be transferred to the newest games using a current Pokémon Bank app.
