Minecraft has been released in May 17, 2009 for Windows PC. However, Markus “Notch” Persson, the creator of the game, hasn’t expected this game to get so popular in such a short time and because of this, he had to sell Mojang, the company that has developed the game, to Microsoft, for 2.5 billion dollars, in 2014.
Minecraft: Wii U Edition has been released on the Nintendo eShop back on December 17, 2015 as digital release only. Well, we have some good news for the Wii U owners, as Nintendo America has announced on its official twitter account that the Minecraft: Wii U Edition is now available in stores. To make things even better, it also announced that it includes the Super Mario Mash-up Pack.
In other words, if you purchase the Minecraft: Wii U Edition, you will also get the Super Mario Mash-up Pack for FREE. It seems that Nintendo has teamed up with Mojang to bring this pack for gamers, for free. It is good to know that the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack comes with 40 new Super Mario themed skins such as: Princess Peach, Mario, Luigi, Wario, Bowser and more. You will also notice many “Super Mario” inspired surprises such as islands shaped like Warp Pipes or towering sculptures of Nintendo’s iconic characters. Some villainous hideouts have been recreated such as Bowser’s ship, Boo’s House or Bowser’s Castle.
So, if you didn’t purchase the digital version of the Minecraft: Wii U, you can go now to your local store and buy this game for your Wii U console. The physical copy of the Minecraft: Wii U Edition is already available in all major retailers and it costs 29.99 dollars.
Will you purchase the Minecraft: Wii U Physical Edition or you’ve already purchased the digital one back in December 2015?
