Is There A Public Release for the iOS 9.3.1 Jailbreak?

A Chinese development team named Pangu has launched the 9.1 jailbreak earlier in March. This has reignited the passion of the jailbreak community. However, many have been wondering about the current status of the iOS 9.3 and 9.3.1 jailbreak right after the success of its recent jailbreak version.

Concurrently, Apple released a bug fix due to crashing devices when links were tapped in certain apps like Safari in a form of iOS 9.3.1. Thus, many have wondered if there is ever a jailbreak for this new update. In terms of security though, nothing much has been changed from iOS 9.3 to iOS 9.3.1. This means that if ever there are security vulnerabilities in the patch that Apple made for iOS 9.3 will remain in its new version. Accordingly, exploits made to the iOS 9.3 should also work with the iOS 9.3.1.

When you are confused whether to update to iOS 9.3.1 or not, make sure that you have at least iOS 9.3 version. This is because of the bug that goes around universal links in which updating to 9.3.1 will still give a good chance that you can jailbreak in the future. This will also be a flexible option for those who are still waiting for the next update to come.

On the other hand, if you are coming from iOS 9.2.1 and hoping to get a jailbreak, it is advisable that you remain in that position for now. Thus, it is best to have a lower firmware version and wait for the next jailbreak release. So, those who are still waiting for the next update, it is important to know that there is no public jailbreak yet for the iOS 9.2, the 9.2.1, the 9.3, and the 9.3.1.

People who don’t want to jailbreak their devices and care about security will have to update for the latest iOS 9.3.1. However, those who don’t want to update but want to jailbreak can stay or downgrade to the iOS 9.2.1. But until the next release date is still uncertain, it is best to wait and stick to your current version before anything bad can happen to your device.
