There have been many rumors about the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 device and one of those rumors state that it will be released sometime in October, after the launch of Android Nutella.

The launch for Android Nutella which is none other than the highly anticipated Android N OS is scheduled for the month of August or September. This info was confirmed by Google representatives at the IO developer conference when the giant also introduced the latest Android N preview.

Due to the fact that a premium device such as the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 can only feature the latest and the best Google has to offer, tech bloggers anticipate that the release of the device will take place soon after Android Nutella’s launch.

Until recently, many people believed that the N in Android N stands for Nougat, but it may actually mean Nutella. The latter comes from a tweet posted by Hiroshi Lockheimer – Senior VP at Android – which featured a photo of him searching for Nutella on the Google search engine. He also wrote: ‘just testing some stuff’. But this could mean anything – maybe it’s not something related to Android N and he’s just a huge fan of Nutella.

Android N is believed to bring many awesome features that can’t be seen in other OSs such as: multi-window support and picture in picture callback.

Apart from featuring Android N, the Google Nexus 2016 will presumably also sport a 7 inch screen, a Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB of RAM plus storage space that can be expanded to 2 TB.

Recently, the Nexus 5X started being sold at a discounted price and this is usually an indication that a new device will soon hit the stores. However, so far, Google hasn’t admitted to anything regarding the Google Nexus 2016 device.
