The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) has been released in April 2016, while the Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 is expected to arrive by the end of this month. Today we will compare these two smartphones and you decide which one you need, based on your tastes.

Designs

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) measures 151.7x76x7.8mm and weights 170 grams and has a similar design as the Galaxy S7 – glass on the back and a frame made of metal. The Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 is entirely made of metal, but it has a smaller body, which measures 149.5×73.7×8.6mm and weights 158.4 grams. This is an entry-level phone with a minimalistic design, but which still looks pretty nice.

Displays



The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) comes with a super AMOLED display of 5.5-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 267 ppi. The Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 has a smaller IPS LCD display of 5.2-inch that supports the same resolution, but which gives a higher pixel density of 282 ppi.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) has been released in two variants of chipsets, processors and graphics cards, as follows:

– Processor: quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.6GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.0GHz or octa-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.6GHz
– Graphics Card: Adreno 405 or Mali-T830MP2
– RAM: 2 GB of RAM.
– Storage: 16GB, expandable up to 256GB.

The Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 comes with an octa-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, which is backed by two variants of RAM options: 2GB coupled with 16GB of internal storage or 3GB with 32GB of storage. The phone supports microSD cards as well, with a maximum capacity of 256GB.

Cameras

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) sports a primary camera of 13MP that features autofocus, LED flash, HDR, panorama, geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 will have a primary camera of 13MP that will feature autofocus, LED flash, HDR, geo-tagging, face detection, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) is powered by a removable battery of 3300 mAh which is less powerful than the non-removable 4100 mAh battery that the Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 will feature.
