The upcoming Asus ZenPad Z8 tablet that is exclusively available at Verizon Wireless can now be pre-ordered. The tablet that costs 250 dollars will start shipping out from June 23, 2016 and it will be the first Asus tablet that will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip.
In addition, the handset will use Verizon’s 4G LTE network services and it will also be able to utilize the XLTE service (that the same company is offering) which will double the speed reached with the 4G LTE.
The Asus ZenPad Z8 tablet will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The handset has a 7.9-inch display that supports a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels at 324 ppi, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset, an Adreno 510 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The tablet has an internal storage of 16GB, but don’t worry, because it can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. The device is powered by a 4680 mAh battery, which is able to keep the device “alive” for 13 hours while in normal use. The Asus ZenPad Z8 tablet sports a primary camera of 8MP and a secondary camera of 2MP.
We also have to mention that the ZenPad Z8 device will be also available in Verizon’s stores from June 23, 2016. It is good to know that Verizon is offering a two-year device payment plan that will allow the users to pay 10.41 dollars every month. However, if you have some extra cash that you want to “invest” in this new device, we suggest you to get a 35 dollars folio case that will keep your tablet protected in case it falls off.
We have to agree that people have lost interest in tablets, as tech world is already moving toward the 2-in-1 tablet/laptop hybrids, but we assure you that the new ZenPad Z8 tablet will be a great alternative for users who want to watch video clips on a bigger screen or chat with their friends on Facebook, Skype etc.
