According to new reports, Sony will release a more powerful PlayStation 4 console named Neo, by the end of 2016. In other words, this new console will be released before Microsoft’s Project Scorpio. If this will happen, Microsoft will once again lose some potential buyers, as most of them will jump on the PlayStation 4 Neo as soon as it will hit the stores.
It is good to know that Microsoft has already announced its Project Scorpio during the E3 2016, claiming that this will be the most powerful console ever made. Project Scorpio will feature 6 teraflops of performance and it’s scheduled to be released in the holiday of 2017. Unfortunately, the price has not been announced yet for either the PlayStation 4 Neo or Project Scorpio, but in both cases, the games that have been released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will also be supported by the new consoles.
Unfortunately, there is no confirmation yet that the PlayStation 4 Neo will be released before the end of 2016, but hopefully we will hear more information about this sometime in the near future. There are rumors which say that Sony will host a dedicated event for the unveiling of the PlayStation 4 Neo, as the company did for the PlayStation 4.
Both consoles are expected to come with the ability to run games at 4K resolution without any problems. Hopefully the game developers will use this advantage and start releasing games at high resolution that will please our eyes. According to rumors, more information about the upcoming PlayStation 4 Neo will be announced by Sony sometime in the next months.
What are your thoughts about the upcoming PlayStation 4 Neo and Project Scorpio consoles? Will you purchase the PlayStation 4 Neo console or wait for the Project Scorpio to be released also and see which one is better?
