Samsung will launch its next flagship phablet in August 2 – according to rumors, and reports suggest that by the end of September will be shipped 5 million units. The mass production will start in July and half of the estimated number of units will be shipped in August.
Rumors and leaks about the upcoming Galaxy Note phablet surfaced a few weeks ago, when we’ve found out that Samsung will skip the Note 6 name in order to catch up with the Galaxy S7 series. Many users thought that the phablet will actually come with a 7-inch screen, but actually, it will measure 5.8-inch, being slightly bigger than the previous model.
Samsung is expected to unveil it at an event that will take place on August 2, in New York, but the phone will go on sale in September. The Galaxy Note 5 was also unveiled during an event in New York, but on August 13, and, unfortunately, it failed to launch in Europe, disappointing many fans. However, the Note 5 needed three months to reach 5 million units, so this time, Samsung is prepared to sell more units all over the world.
The Note 7 will most likely have the same glass and metal design as its predecessor, but its dimensions haven’t been unveiled yet. The 5.8-inch Super AMOLED screen will support a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels at 506 ppi and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Most likely, the chipset will be the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 which will support up to 6GB of RAM, but there are rumors suggesting that in some regions will be available the variant that will be powered by the upcoming Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor that will support the same RAM capacity. Other rumors claim that there will be four variants of internal memories with capacities between 32GB and 256GB, but the cameras will be the same ones from the Galaxy S7: 12MP on the back with phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash and 5MP on the front, with Auto HDR, but both of them will support the same aperture of f/1.7. Other reports suggest that their resolutions will be upgraded to 20MP and 15MP respectively. As for the battery, it will be enormous, of 4600mAh.
