Rockstar seems to have its hands full nowadays. The GTA 5 developer has just released a new DLC for the game called “Further Adventures in Finance and Felony” on June 7, and it’s rumored to release another DLC next month.
This rumor stems from an online article that Rockstar had published on their website on May 9. Aside from describing the “Further Adventures in Finance and Felony” DLC, the article contains a paragraph that may be taken as a hint for the next content expansion of the game.
Beginning with the words “cunning stunts” (which gaming experts assume will be the title of the next DLC), the paragraph describes the next expansion as “a major update to the wild world of GTA Online racing and stunting that will introduce a new realm of creative and fun games”. The article also informs readers that they should “expect a slew of new stunt-ready vehicles and gear” and “a vast new set of props” for the Creator scene.
Rockstar has not confirmed that “Cunning Stunts” will indeed be the title of the next DLC nor that it would be released in July. However, as pointed out by IBTimes.sg, GTA fans will remember that the developer released the first part of the Ill-Gotten Gains DLC on June last year and rolled out the second part in July. If this pattern would be repeated this year, it’s highly likely that a new DLC will be released next month since “Further Adventures in Finance and Felony” has already been rolled out to PC, PS4, and Xbox One systems last week.
IBTimes.sg also points out that Rockstar may make some changes to the title of the upcoming content expansion, turning it from “Cunning Stunts” to something else. This is what happened with the recently released DLC, which started as “Finance and Felony DLC” but was officially named “Further Adventures in Finance and Felony DLC”.
Fans don’t have to worry, though, because it seems that Rockstar and its parent company Take-Two Interactive are set to make exciting announcements during E3 2016, which started on June 14 and will end on June 16. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has revealed to investors that they would be at the event “in a big way”, while Express.co.uk reported that Rockstar has already been confirmed on Twitter as one of the developers that will have exhibits during E3. These could mean that Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive will be making huge announcements, such as the release of their next DLC, during the event.
