The new gameplay from Watch Dogs 2 has revealed quite a bit about the new game and it’s mechanics; during the Ubisoft E3 conference, the developer showed a mission walkthrough where Marcus had to infiltrate the house of a Social Media Mongul and a variety of other trailers were shown for the game.
Watch Dogs 2 is using the idea that everything is hackable and the world is filled with potential targets that can be hacked including self-driving cars; players will also be able to hack on a large scale, one trailer showed that the player could hack all mobile phones in their location and cause them to ring at the same time.
The main combat weapon in the game has also been revealed. The weapon is a self-made “Thunderball” which encourages close range melee battles as opposed to the previous game which was gun based. The player can also use guns however in Watch Dogs 2 and has a variety of technology at their disposal including a remote drone.
The new hacking tools and gameplay mechanics in Watch Dogs 2 seem to make this a very different game to the original and Ubisoft has confirmed that there are various ways to complete each mission; the game can even be completed non-lethally.
Watch Dogs 2 will be released November 15 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
