Capcom will release June Update for Street Fighter V near the end of the month and the developer has talked on its mode about the free story mode called “A Shadow Falls” and all six DLC characters. Capcom has explained how in-game currency works and what stuff will be available in the store.
“A Shadow Falls” will keep players occupied for three-four hours and will have a similar structure as the story modes in Injustice: Gods Among Us and Mortal Kombat X games. Capcom will introduce six new characters: Alex, Guile, Ibuki, Balrog, Urien and Juri and the story will revolve around the battle between “the evil Shadaloo organization and the heroic World Warriors who rise up against them. Seven “Black Moons” are deployed by Shadaloo, granting M. Bison unimaginable power and enveloping the earth in total darkness. Seeing the moons mysteriously appear in the sky, Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li embark on an epic journey around the world to retrieve fragment pieces that are the key to stopping the “Black Moons” before it’s too late. Along the way, they encounter the rest of the World Warriors, each of whom have their own agendas and motivations in mind,” has explained Capcom.
Balrog, Urien and Juri will be playable outside of this mode, but this will be possible later this year. If they’ll finish the story mode, players will earn Fight Money with which they’ll unlock higher difficulty and by completing it, they will get more of the in-game currency. Capcom was supposed to implement Zenny, to be purchased with real money and to be used on items in the store, but the developer has decided to cancel its plans for the in-game currency and players will use real money to buy things from the PlayStation Store and Steam. Here are the sums that players will pay to buy things:
– New Characters (Fight Money: 100,000, Real Currency: $5.99 / €5.99);
– New Stages (Fight Money: 70,000, Real Currency: $3.99 / €5.99);
– Alternate Stages (Fight Money: 40,000, Real Currency: $1.99 / €1.99);
– Story Costumes (Fight Money: 40,000, Real Currency: $1.99 / €1.99);
– Premium Costumes – “Hot” Bearded Ryu skins (Real Currency: $3.99 / €3.99).
