Last night, Bethesda has made an announcement regarding the upcoming “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition”. According to the developer company, this new version of the game will be released on October 28, 2016 and it will be sold for 59.99 dollars.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition will come with Hearthfire, Dragonborn and Dawnguard addons, but it will also include re-mastered effects and art, dynamic depth of field, screen-space reflections, volumetric god rays and more. In addition, you will also see the full “power of PC mods” on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles, by offering access to new characters, armor, weapons, quests and environments.
Bethesda has also talked about mods that will come to this game. It said that the mods will be similar as they are on Fallout 4. In other words, the gamers will be able to search and browse for the latest and greatest Skyrim Mods, install them and give feedback to them. You will be able to do all of this within the game by selecting “Mods” from the Skyrim main menu and start browsing. You will also be able to search for Skyrim mods online on Bethesda’s website.
If you are a Steam user and you’ve already purchased Skyrim along with all its add-ons (or own the Legendary Edition of the game), Bethesda has assured us that we’ll be able to upgrade to Skyrim Special Edition for FREE on October 28, 2016. It seems that Bethesda wanted to make sure that everyone who paid good money on purchasing all the add-ons for this game can update for FREE to the Special Edition of the game without spending any cent.
