The GeForce GTX 1080 is the next big graphics card to come from manufacturers and seem to be exactly what gamers were hoping for. The industry has been left waiting for some time while technology moves on to allow them to create smaller cards without reducing their performance capability; this generation has a 20nm GPU making them 8nm smaller than the previous wave.
All manufactures are releasing their own cards and each one will have different performance capabilities; the GeForce GRX 1080 cards will all be great for gaming but not all of them will be suited to game development or eSports.
These card will be able to run games in amazing quality and the majority of these will have massive overclock capability; the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 was shown to be running at 2114MHz during the reveal and the stock overclock for the card will be 1607MHz.
These new cards are currently for sale starting from £600/$800 and can be bought from a variety of locations. Each manufacturer will make slightly different cards so it’s wise to research each card before deciding on which one to upgrade your gaming PC with.
