WhatsApp developers are constantly updating the app. In fact, there’s another new update but it has yet to offer the highly-anticipated Video Calling feature. There are rumors abounding that the feature could soon be released, but nothing official.

WhatsApp 2.16.94 for the Android OS is in BETA right now, but users can download it from the Google Play Store. WhatsApp 2.16.94 APK installation file decreased to 245KB with more than 460 files being modified – most related to the application’s user interface.  The reason the APK file is less is that WhatsApp developers removed 11 files – profile pictures, wallpapers, etc.

Installing WhatsApp 2.16.94 Onto The Android Device

The WhatsApp 2.16.94 BETA can be downloaded right from Google Play Store. However, in order for persons to do this, they’ll need to be an improved BETA tester. Go to and hit the button “Become a Tester”. Once approved, users will need to go to the store, find the WhatsApp 2.16.94 and install it onto the Android device.

It’s also possible to manually install the update onto the device. In order to do this, users will have to enable “Unknown Sources” from their device’s Settings, going to “Applications or Settings and going into Security. They will need to visit to get the WhatsApp 2.16.94 APK file to install the file onto the device.
