Motorola’s brand new Moto Z and Moto Z Force smartphones were announced a few days ago. And while they act as a great refreshment in the world of smartphones, they have been a subject to a lot of criticism from fans wanting the old Motorola Droid brand – redesigned.
What happened with Motorola is that they took the Droid flagship and came with 2 new versions of the legendary Droid – now renamed to Moto Z and Moto Z Force accordingly. So, what’s so good – and bad – about these two phones?
Motorola Moto Z and Moto Z Force – The Difference
Motorola Moto Z is the name of the flagship that now packs the best technology from the latest smartphones – including an innovation from the LG G5, the Galaxy S7 and even the iPhone 7. However, there is a difference between these two phones.
First of all, the dimensions in both Moto Z and Moto Z Force make this flagship phone amazingly slim. While the Moto Z Force is a bit thicker because of its advance upgrades, the Moto Z model represents one of the world’s slimmest smartphones. Here are the dimensions of both models:
- Moto Z – 153.3 x 75.3 x 5.2 mm (6.04 x 2.96 x 0.20 in) and 136 g (4.80 oz)
- Moto Z Force – 155.9 x 75.8 x 7 mm (6.14 x 2.98 x 0.28 in) and 163 g (5.75 oz)
Made of premium aluminum chassis, the Moto Z and Z Force models represent a great leap forward in technology and smartphones that are well designed and ready to tackle every fall in style. However, the difference is mostly seen in the smartphone’s camera lens.
Perfect Camera And Steady Battery Life
While the Moto Z model has a 13 megapixel camera, the Moto Z Force will include a stunning 21 megapixel lens packing in a 1.12 micrometer pixel size on each picture taken. Also, it will be able to shoot 4K without a problem.
Also, the battery looks bigger and better in the Moto Z Force model – there will be a 3500 mAh battery which compared to the 2500 mAh battery of the basic Moto Z model, looks pretty fascinating.
Will we see the best camera that Motorola (Lenovo) ever invented in these 2 models? Will they be ready to give us 2 days battery life, particularly the Moto Z Force?
We’ll wait for the official answers – with the official release and market sale scheduled for September this year.
