WhatsApp is the mobile application of the moment and this is confirmed by over 1 billion monthly active users that it has. Today we will talk about the latest WhatsApp BETA version that has been released for Android devices and the changes that come with it.

First of all, you should know that the latest WhatsApp BETA version for Android is 2.16.115 and it can now be downloaded from the Google Play Store, but we will tell you more about how you can that later on, in this article. The WhatsApp 2.16.115 doesn’t seem to come with changes, as no new features have been added, but it seems that the developers are preparing to activate the “invitations via links” feature.

The WhatsApp 2.16.115 APK (installation) file has increased by only 9Kb, it has 37 modified files and no new or deleted ones. Two of the modified files are “share_invite_link.xml” and “accept_invite_link.xml”, which, as you’ve already guessed, are related to the “invitations via links” feature. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice any new file that would be related to the rumored Video Calling feature, which is expected to be added to this application sometime in the near future.
