The HTC One S9 and LG G5 SE are two upcoming mid-range smartphones that come with some interesting specifications. The first one is a reminiscent of the One M9, so it uses its design, but under the hood, it has an improved processor, while the latter is a weaker version of the G5 flagship, it has the same modular design, but it’s slimmer.
The HTC One S9 measures 144.6×69.7×10.1mm and weights 158 grams. Likewise the HTC One M9, it had a curved metal body with two lines on the back – at the top and bottom, and the rear camera is square and located on the top center. The LG G5 SE is slimmer and slightly lighter, as it measures 149.4×73.9×7.3mm and weights 156 grams. Its exterior is made of metal, as well, but what’s special about it is the modular design that allows users to add accessory units for new features and operation.
The HTC One S9 has a super LCD display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 ppi. The LG G5 SE features a bigger IPS LCD display o f 5.3-inch that supports a higher resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 554 ppi.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The HTC One S9 comes with a Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 2.0GHz, a PowerVR G6200 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The LG G5 SE features a Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz and a quad-core Cortex A72 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, an Adreno 510 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.
The HTC One S9 has an internal storage of 16GB which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card. The LG G5 SE has an internal storage of 32GB, but you can expand it up to 256GB.
The HTC One S9 sports a primary camera of 13MP that features dual-LED flash, OIS, autofocus, geo-tagging, panorama, HDR, touch focus, face detection and a secondary camera of 4MP. The LG G5 SE has a better dual-primary camera of 16MP and 8MP that features OIS, laser autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, panorama, HDR, face detection, touch focus and a secondary camera of 8MP.
The HTC One S9 is kept “alive” by a non-removable battery of 2840 mAh which is slightly less powerful than the removable 2840 mAh battery that the LG G5 SE comes with.
