A new WhatsApp BETA version has been released for Android devices and today we will talk about it. First of all, you should know that the new WhatsApp BETA version is 2.16.112 and we can clearly see that the “invitations via links” feature is still being prepared. This time, the developer has added the text strings that will announce the user when she/he will join a group, such as: “You joined this group using this group’s invite link”.

The WhatsApp 2.16.112 APK (installation) file has been increased by 30KB, it has almost 200 modified files and a new one named “advanced.xml”, which we’re not sure yet what it will be used for.

Unfortunately, we still don’t have any news regarding the Video Calling feature. There have been rumors about this upcoming feature, but the developer didn’t confirm that it will bring it to this application. However, in order to keep up the pace with other popular mobile messaging app, the developers of WhatsApp will need to bring this feature or else they might lose a good amount of active users, which are lured by Viber and Skype’s features.
