The Samsung Gear Fit 2 and Xiaomi Mi Brand 2 are two wearable devices that come with health-centric features and today we will compare them.
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 comes with a large-sized AMOLED display that has a diagonal of 1.5-inch, which is capable of displaying stats vertically that will be very pleasant for viewing. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 has a smaller OLED display of 0.42-inch. However, it is good to know that both devices come with a water-resistant chassis.
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 runs on Tizen OS, which is allowing the user to customize the “watch face” with a wide range of designs. The wearable device is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, which is backed by 512MB of RAM. In addition, the Samsung Gear Fit 2 comes with an internal storage of 4GB and a 200 mAh battery, which can keep the device “alive” for three days.
To make things even better, it comes with a GPS sensor that will give you real time information about the distance you’ve ran and at what speed, along with a heart rate sensor that will track all kinds of fitness activities such as running, cycling and more. This wearable device will be able to monitor how many steps you have taken, your sleep pattern and it can also vibrate when you receive a message, notification or call on your smartphone (if it is paired to it).
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 is sold for 179 dollars and it comes in black, blue and pink color variants, but it will be available in stores starting from June 10, 2016. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is sold for only 22 dollars and it’s now available for purchase.
