The Witcher 3 game has been released in May 2015 and it has become quite popular in a short time. Well, the third and latest expansion pack for this game has just been released and it comes with a “solid” performance across consoles while maintaining the graphical quality high.
We remind you Bethesda has messed up with the Fallout 4: Far Harbor DLC, as when it was released, it came with many issues that were significantly reducing the FPS (frames per second) on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
Well, it is not the case with the new Blood and Wine DLC that has been released for The Witcher 3 game. According to reports, this new DLC comes with a stable gameplay and it is actually an improvement to the performance of the game that has been developed by CD Projekt Red. This new DLC also improves the way the game packages assets and geometry resulting improved memory utilization.
According to reports, after playing for a few hours, the game is maintained at 30 FPS without any big issues. However, you will most likely notice some fps drops on the Xbox One, but the game runs almost as smooth as it runs on the PlayStation 4. The FPS drops are happening while you are getting closer to the big city.
It is good to know that The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine DLC is still rendered at 1920×1080 pixels on the PlayStation 4 consoles, while the Xbox One runs it a lower resolution of 1600×900 pixels. However, even if the Xbox One runs the game at a lower resolution when compared to the PS4 console, the texture quality is very close to the PC version of the game while running with high settings.
