Motorola Moto G4 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S7 are two smartphones that have been released in May and March 2016, respectively. Today we will compare them and let you decide which one of them suits your needs better.

Designs

The Motorola Moto G4 Plus measures 153×76.6×9.8mm and weights 155 grams. The device has a slightly different design than its predecessors, as the vertical strip that extended from the rear camera to the logo is gone and the plastic material from the back is matte, without diagonal lines. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is slimmer and slightly lighter as it measures 142.4×69.6×7.9mm and weights 152 grams, while its design is identical to that of the Galaxy S6: glass back and a metal frame.

Displays



The Motorola Moto G4 Plus has an IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Samsung Galaxy S7 comes with a smaller super AMOLED display of 5.1-inch that supports a higher resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 577 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Motorola Moto G4 Plus features a Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S7 comes in two variants of chipsets, processors and graphics cards, as follows:

Storages

The Motorola Moto G4 Plus has been released in three internal storage variants of 16GB (2GB of RAM), 32GB (3GB of RAM) and 64GB (4GB of RAM), while the Samsung Galaxy S7 comes in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB. You can expand the storage on both devices up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

The Motorola Moto G4 Plus sports a primary camera of 16MP that features dual-LED flash, laser autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, auto-HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Samsung Galaxy S7 comes with a primary camera of 12MP that features phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

Both devices have a non-removable battery of 3000 mAh.
