Mass Effect Andromeda is set to be released in 2017, and the game’s biggest fans are just clamoring for more news about what the game has to offer. Luckily, the game’s developers have been sharing bits of information over the last few months, particularly on social media.
One of the major sources for information has been the Twitter timeline of one of the game’s level designers. His timeline over the past few days has been filled with tweets about a new mission. Through this, fans have learned a bit more about what’s going on behind the scenes of Mass Effect Andromeda. According to the developer’s tweets, users will find a lot of banter in the upcoming release.
The developer whose username is @Sjosz mentioned that there will be a special snowflake fight that will be unlike any other fight. What is unclear is if this fight is in connection with the mission that has been mentioned. What the developer can say about the mission is that it’s a “beast of a mission.”
But @Sjosz isn’t the only developer that has been sharing tidbits about the game on social media. The game’s lead designer shared in April details about a new protagonist in Andromeda. Ian S. Frazier shared his praise for the development team for the work they have done to make the protagonist feel fresh and unique, something that is really important when it comes to games. Otherwise, what else is there to offer?
Games need a few changes to feel new but not stray too far away that it becomes unfamiliar. That being said, Commander Shephard – who functioned as the protagonist in the previous series – will not be returning as the lead for Andromeda come 2017.
For now, this is all we know. We know there is going to be a fight that is worthy of hype; we know there will be a brand new protagonist; and there will be a fantastic mission to immerse yourself in. But until the game is released, we will just cling on to whatever information we can find from the developers and designers of the game. There’s even rumors that a gameplay trailer might be available as early as next week.
While Mass Effect Andromeda is expected to be released during the early part of 2017, fans can get a glimpse of the game at the EA Play event scheduled for June 12.
