Apple hasn’t revealed the MacBook Pro 2016 at the Spring event and fans are hoping that the laptop will be unveiled at the WWDC 2016 event that will be held June 13-17. In case Apple won’t unveil it next week, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the MacBook Pro 2016 will be released in the third quarter and will come with a thinner and lighter body, an OLED display touch bar above the keyboard and Touch ID.
The keyboard of the MacBook Pro 2016 will be redesigned, as will have butterfly keys that will feature a larger surface area and above them will be placed an OLED touchpad, as in some leaked images there has been noticed a small cut-out in the chassis. Unfortunately, rumors say that Apple won’t announce any hardware at its WWDC 2016 event, so we won’t get any confirmation from the company if the MacBook Pro 2016 will come with speculated specs and features.
Apple will focus on software announcements and alongside the iOS 10 operating system will be revealed the upcoming OS X 10.12 Fuji, which will be installed on the MacBook Pro 2016, once it will be released. Other expected features are four Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports, which will replace the old USB connectors and two of them will sit on a side, and the other two on the other side, just like the speaker grills, which will be moved from the bottom of the device. On one of the sides will be placed the 3.5mm headphone jack, as in the leaked images was spotted a hole for it.
Internally, the MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to house Intel’s new Skylake processors, which will be paired with more powerful graphics cards, while the screen will have the same resolution as the current 12-inch models: 2304 x 1440 pixels. It is very likely that the laptop will be released this fall, in October.
