Designs

The Sony Xperia Z5 measures 146x72x7.3mm and weights 154 grams. Its back is made of glass (frosted design) and has a metal frame with plastic corners. On the other hand, the Huawei P9 Lite is slightly thicker and lighter as it measures 146.8×72.6×7.5mm and weights 147 grams. It has the same design as the P9, but instead of metal, Huawei used plastic for its body.

Displays



The Sony Xperia Z5 has an IPS LCD display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 428 ppi. The Huawei P9 Lite comes with an IPS LCD display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 424 ppi.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Sony Xperia Z5 features a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A57 CPU clocked at 2.0GHz, an Adreno 430 graphics card and 3GB of RAM. The Huawei P9 Lite has a HiSilicon Kirin 650 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 2.0GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.7GHz, a Mali-T880MP2 graphics card and 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

Storages

The Sony Xperia Z5 has been released with an internal storage of 32GB which you can expand up to 200GB using a microSD card. On the other hand, the Huawei P9 Lite comes with an internal storage of only 16GB, but don’t worry because you will be able to expand it up to 128GB.

Cameras

The Sony Xperia Z5 sports a primary camera of 23MP that features phase detection autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, HDR, touch focus and a secondary camera of 5.1MP. The Huawei P9 Lite has a primary camera of 13MP that features autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 8MP.

Batteries

Both devices come with non-removable batteries, but the Sony Xperia Z5 has a 2900 mAh one, which is slightly less powerful than the 3000 mAh battery that the Huawei P9 Lite comes with.
