Great news for the owners of the OnePlus 2 flaghsip released by the Chinese manufacturer in August 2015 with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. They’ve been waiting for the Marshmallow update for a while and they were worried that OnePlus will delay even more the release of the latest firmware, but the miracle has happened. The official build of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow has just been launched for the OnePlus 2, but more about its features and changes we’ll tell you below.

OnePlus has announced through a blog post that its second generation flagship is getting the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update with a bunch of new features and which is rolling out over-the-air. OxygenOS was also bumped to version 3.0.2 and below we’ll tell you about the main features that come with it:



– Improved Doze mode, which will help the device to last longer, by increasing its battery life;
– Performance improvements;
– Improvements to the fingerprint sensor, as it’s more accurate in recognizing fingerprints;
– New OnePlus Camera UI and AF optimization;
– OnePlus has removed MaxxAudio and Tuner and integrated with Dirac HD Sound technology, offering a better audio experience;
– Performance to Shelf UX, which means that you can edit a board by long pressing;
– Applications can be locked in Recents, so they won’t be cleared away;
– SwiftKey update to 6.3.3
– Network operator selection will no longer automatically change the network you’ve selected;
– Unfortunately, after the device boots up, you’ll need to set up your fingerprint again, because it’s cleared up after updating to Marshmallow.
