The Microsoft Lumia 650 and Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) are two mid-range smartphones that have been released in February and April 2016. Today we will compare these two handsets and you will see which one has better specs. The Microsoft Lumia 650 measures 142×70.9×6.9mm and weights 122 grams. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) is thicker and heavier as it measures 145.8×72.3×8.1mm and weights 159 grams. Both devices have removable plastic backs with rear cameras positioned in the top center, while the frames are made of metal. The difference between them is that the Galaxy J5 2015 has a physical home button, like any other Samsung phone, while the Lumia 650 has three capacitive buttons below the screen.

The Microsoft Lumia 650 features an OLED display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 297 ppi. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with a super AMOLED display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 282 ppi.

The Microsoft Lumia 650 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, an Adreno 304 graphics card and 1GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has a slightly better Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset with a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 306 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.

Storages

The Microsoft Lumia 650 has been released with an internal storage of 16GB which you can expand up to 200GB using a microSD card. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with an internal storage of 16GB, but you can expand it up to 128GB.

Cameras

The Microsoft Lumia 650 sports a primary camera of 8MP that supports autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has a better primary camera of 13MP with autofocus, LED flash, face detection, geo-tagging, touch focus and a secondary camera of 5MP.
