WhatsApp is the application of the moment with more than 1 billion monthly active users. The application allows you to keep in touch with your friends and family, by using the internet to send and receive data. In addition, if, before, you had to pay 0.99 dollars per year in order to use this application, the developers have decided to make WhatsApp completely free.  In other words, as long as you will have an available internet connection on your smartphone, you will be able to talk with your friends on WhatsApp.

The latest WhatsApp version for iPhone comes with some problems that are causing the application to randomly crash out of the sudden. According to reports, this is caused by a widespread bug which has an impact on a big amount of iPhones. Unfortunately, even if you try to reinstall the application, the issue will not be fixed. This has been confirmed by some users who’ve already tried this.

The WhatsApp 2.16.5 has been released on May 31, 2016 and it was expected to correct a bug that was causing the application to crash when trying to forward links using the built-in feature. The good news is that this new WhatsApp version fixes the mentioned issue, but it brings even worse issues. In other words, if you haven’t updated your WhatsApp application on your iPhone to 2.16.5, we suggest you to not do it.

Unfortunately, if you’ve already updated the WhatsApp application 2.16.5, you will need to wait for a fix to get released by the developers. The team from of WhatsApp has already assured users that they are already working on fixing the bug that is causing random crashes on their application.

Unfortunately, they didn’t give an official date when the new functional WhatsApp version will be released for iPhones.
