The LG G Pad 8.3 is an old tablet released in October 2013 and it doesn’t support any cellular connectivity. Meanwhile, LG has made considerable progress and improved its line of tablets, so today we’ll talk about the LG G Pad X 8.0, which was just released with a price of $240. We will compare these two tablets and let you decide which one of them suits your needs.

Designs

The LG G Pad 8.3 measures 216.8×126.5×8.3mm and weights 338 grams. Its top layer is toughened glass, while the back is a mix of aluminum and plastic. On the other hand, the LG G Pad X 8.0 is slimmer and lighter as it measures 210.8×121.9×7.9mm and weights 309 grams. From the images we’ve seen, the tablet seems to have a textured metal back.



Displays

The LG G Pad 8.3 has an IPS LCD display of 8.3-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels at 273 ppi. The LG G Pad X 8.0 comes with a smaller IPS LCD display of 8-inch that supports the same resolution, but which results in a pixel density of 283 ppi.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The LG G Pad 8.3 features a Qualcomm APQ8064 Pro Snapdragon 600 chipset, a quad-core Krait 300 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, an Adreno 320 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The LG G Pad X 8.0 comes with a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.0GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.

Storages

The LG G Pad 8.3 has been released with an internal storage variant of 16GB which can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card. The LG G Pad X 8.0 features an internal storage variant of 16GB, but you can expand it up to 128GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

The LG G Pad 8.3 sports a primary camera of 5MP that features autofocus, geo-tagging, panorama, HDR, face detection, touch focus and a secondary camera of 1.3MP. The LG G Pad X 8.0 has a primary camera of 5MP that features autofocus, geo-tagging, panorama, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP.
