According to rumors, Samsung will launch the Active variant of the Galaxy S7 flagship in June, while in August is expected to arrive the Galaxy Note 6 phablet. None of the devices have been announced yet, but their specs have been leaked online and we’ll tell you about them below. Also, the OnePlus One released in April 2014, and which was upgraded to the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, has received a price cut.

Samsung might introduce a new security feature in its upcoming devices, as new trademarks point out to iris scanning that will allow users to unlock their phones by just looking at them. Microsoft has already added facial recognition (Windows Hello feature) on its Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones, and now Samsung is bringing biometric authentication, which will be the best achievement, so far, for the South Korean company.

So, regarding the Galaxy S7 family, soon it will welcome a new member, the Active variant, which will come with a battery of 4000mAh (15 percent bigger than that of its predecessor), a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, just like the Galaxy S7, it will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 quad core processor (two Kryo cores clocked at 2.15GHz and two Kryo cores clocked at 1.6GHz) which will be backed by 4GB of RAM and will have the same cameras as the Galaxy S7: 12MP on the back and 5MP on the front. Rumors suggest that it will be launched in the US via AT&T, on June 10.

As for the Galaxy Note 6, the phablet is expected to be launched in the second half of 2016, most likely in mid-August, and it might be named Galaxy Note 7. Regarding its specs, the phablet will come with a 2K display, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor backed by 6GB of RAM and will have a new 1/1.7 CMOS camera sensor.

OnePlus One Will Be $50 Cheaper

This price reduction applies to the OnePlus X and OnePlus Two, as well. So, if the OnePlus One costs $249, the OnePlus 2 64GB is priced at $299, while the OnePlus X costs now $199.
