The HTC Desire 628 and Asus Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) are two mid-range smartphones that will be released sometime in the near future. The first one is a mid-tier with a plastic design, while the latter is a phablet with a beautiful metal body and below we’ll compare their internal specifications.
The HTC Desire 628 measures 146.9×70.9×8.1mm and weights 142 grams. Likewise other Desire models, it comes with a dual-tone design, so if the back has one color, the logo, circle around the camera and frame have a different color. There are no rumors regarding the chipset and the processor type that the HTC Desire 628 will come with, but it’s expected to feature an octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and 3GB of RAM. The Asus Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) has a Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 2.0GHz, an Adreno 506 graphics card and 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
The HTC Desire 628 will be released with an internal storage of 32GB, which you will be able to expand up to 200GB using a microSD card. On the other hand, the Asus Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) comes in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, but you will be able to expand it up t o 128GB using a microSD card.
The HTC Desire 628 sports a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, geo-tagging, HDR, geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) has a better primary camera of 16MP that features dual-LED flash, OIS, phase detection autofocus, HDR, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and a secondary camera of 8MP.
Both devices will come with non-removable batteries, but the battery that powers the HTC Desire 628 is too small, as its capacity is only 2200 mAh, while the Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) houses a cell with an average capacity of 3000 mAh.
