The WhatsApp application has currently over 1 billion monthly active users and more people are installing it every day. Today we will talk about the latest WhatsApp BETA version for Windows Phone and the changes that come with it.

The WhatsApp 2.16.70 is the latest BETA version that has been released for Windows Phone and as soon as you will install it on your mobile device, you will notice that it comes with some user interface changes. First of all, you will notice that the appbar buttons have been removed and replaced by a slightly more dynamic setup.

Also, you will notice that the Voice and Send keys have been combined and when you will start typing, a send key will be available. If you are not typing anything, the button will turn into a voice message key, allowing you to easily send a voice message to that contact.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any official news regarding the rumored Video Calling feature, which is expected to be released for the WhatsApp application in the near future. This Video Calling feature on WhatsApp will most likely be released for the following operating systems: Android, iOS, Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile. It is good to know that the WhatsApp Video Calling feature has been spotted in some screenshots a few weeks ago, which proves that the developers are working on it.

We remind you that since the WhatsApp 2.16.70 for Windows Phone is currently in BETA, you may finds some errors and bugs that could be quite annoying. In addition, the application might also crash from time to time, but all these issues will most likely be fixed once the STABLE version of the application will be released.
