Fallout 4 Far Harbor update is the largest DLC that Bethesda has ever released and players are very excited about the changes. However, the company has plans for PS 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, as according to VG24/7, Bethesda is preparing Fallout Cascadia, which will be a mod that will set the game in Seattle, many years after what happened in the main game. A team of 18 of mode creators have worked for six months on this project and the mod will be released soon.
Unfortunately, PS4 users are having issues with Fallout 4 Far Harbor’s performance and they complained about the frame rate drops, which affects their focus when the radioactive mist takes over the island and dangerous monsters appear out of the sudden. The gaming experience has been affected many times, as it’s not the first time when the game has had performance drops.
Even in the first week of the main game, players have posted on Reddit that they’ve found bugs, but this time, only PS4 users have reported that, in their opinion, the fog is causing the problem. It is known that developers have always been using fog to improve frame rate, but they cut down draw instances and Bethesda didn’t pay too much attention to this issue, but it will most likely patch these glitches in a week or two.
In parallel, Bethesda has been working on a project – a fan mod, and more information about it can be found on the mod’s Tumblr page. “Cascadia is an upcoming new world-space mod for Fallout 4 set in a retro-futuristic post-apocalyptic version of Seattle and the surrounding areas. Users will start a new adventure entirely separate from the main game. The scale of this project is a land area that is just a bit smaller than Fallout 3, but more quests and locations than Fallout 4’s Far Harbor DLC. We currently have approximately 18 members working on this project to the bring the Pacific Northwest to the world of Fallout.
Work on this mod began six months ago, and has intensified with the release of the Creation Kit. Inside the mod, players will find new quests that challenge them mentally and morally, locations that tell a story, and factions that are vying for control. Please consider following us on any and all our outlets, as we have much more to share as the project matures, and the release date begins to comes closer.” This is the description of Fallout Cascadia, which isn’t known when it will be released.
