Finally, Lenovo has released some substantial data regarding the new Moto G4 phone planned for 2016. But is it really going to be much better than the original one? Let’s see!
The Moto G4 will indeed be bigger than the 2015 version, having 153×76.6×7.9 to 9.8 mm. The screen will also be bigger, gaining an extra 0.5 inches as compared to the 5-inch one the simple Moto G has. Moreover, the resolution is 1080×1920 and 420 ppi, while the 2015 one has 1280×720 pixels and a 294 ppi. Both of them support Android Marshmallow, so from this point of view they offer equal performance. Moto G4 brings more storage options, the users choosing between 16 and 32 GB, not between 8 and 16 like they could in Moto G 2015, though both come with an microSD slot.
The new phone will definitely have a bigger battery, which means a longer battery life. If before Moto G offered a 2470 mAh battery, roughly one and a half days of use, the improved version has a 3000 mAh battery, which, paradoxically, will last pretty much the same because of the 1080p display.
The two phones are quite similar when it comes to design. Even so, you could say that the new one has a more refined look. They both have similar designs for the microphone and the speakers and they also feature rounded edges. The Moto G4 though does not have a camera module that extends all the way to the logo. More than that, it has a glass look that adds to the sleek image.
However, it is not yet known what colors will be available for the new phone Motorola will release, but what we do know is that we will be able to customize it!
