Do you like the HTC One M9? If yes, then you’ll have a deja vu when you’ll see Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 mid-range smartphones that will hit the stores in June. They share a similar design with HTC’s flagship, but there are some differences between them and we’ll highlight them.

Designs

The Galaxy C5 measures 145.9x72x6.7mm and weights 143 grams, while the Galaxy C7 is the phablet variant that measures 156.6×77.2×6.7mm and weights 165 grams. Likewise the HTC One M9, the two Samsung devices have a full metal body with two thin lines on the back, curved edges and a square camera on the opt center. However, while the One M9 lacks a home button, but has dual BoomSound speakers, the Galaxy S5 and C7 are hiding a fingerprint scanner inside the oval button below the screen.

Displays

The Galaxy C5 has a super AMOLED display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 424 ppi. The Galaxy C7 comes with a larger super AMOLED display of 5.7-inch that supports the same resolution, but which results in a lower pixel density of 386 ppi.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Galaxy C5 features a Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 4GB of RAM. The Galaxy C7 comes with a better Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 2.0GHz, an Adreno 506 graphics card and 4GB of RAM.

Storages

Both devices come in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, but you will be able to expand the memory up to 128GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

Both devices sport a primary camera of 16MP (located on the rear side) that features dual LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, HDR, panorama, face detection, touch focus and a secondary camera of 8MP (located on the front side). Both cameras have an aperture of f/1.9.

Batteries

The Galaxy C5 features a non-removable battery of 2600 mAh, while the phablet has received a larger 3300 mAh cell.
