WhatsApp for Nokia is specially designed to function properly in your Symbian S40 or S60 device so, when you download it, you have the assurance that it would work right away and would be easy to use. But, just like any other piece of technology, WhatsApp isn’t entirely perfect. As a result, you might fund yourself running into an error message and having problems with the app at some point or another.

Certificate Expired Error
When the “Certificate Expired” error pops up on your screen, it can mean one or two things: your phone has the incorrect time and/or date, or its software has to be updated to the latest version. In this case, fixing problem is easy. Simply go to your phone’s settings to correct the date and time, find out if there’s an update for your device’s software and, if there is, download and install the update. Restart your phone, open WhatsApp again, and see if you’d still get the error message.
This is trickier than the Certificate Expired error since you won’t get a direct-to-the-point message. Rather, you’ll just see a vague error message like “Download / Update Is Stopped. Please Try Again Later”. Fortunately, after reading this post, you’ll know that this error message is already a clue that your phone has incorrect memory settings.
To correct this, take a look at your phone’s memory card slot to check if there’s a memory card in it and if it’s properly installed. Next, go to the Apps section of the menu, highlight WhatsApp, click option, and choose “Move to Memory Card”. Doing this moves the app from the phone memory storage to your memory card, freeing up the former and preventing this error from occurring again.
