A new WhatsApp BETA version has been released for Android devices. The WhatsApp 2.16.86 doesn’t come with big changes, but it is good to know that it comes with some new features that are worth mentioning.
First of all, you should know that once you install this version on your Android device, you will notice that a notification will appear when you will log into your WhatsApp account via the web client. This new feature is pretty useful, as sometimes we forget that we let the browser open and someone might be tempted to read our conversations while we are away from the computer.
There is also a new addition to the application and it seems that it will now ask you for permission to share information of your WhatsApp account with Facebook in order to keep up with advertising and products on Facebook.
WhatsApp 2.16.86 APK file has been increased by 13KB, without any new or deleted files, but over 80 files have been modified. If you decide to install WhatsApp 2.16.86 on your Android device, you should know that it is currently in BETA phase, which means that you will most likely find some annoying bugs and errors, but they will be fixed once this new version passed the BETA testing phase.
