After releasing a big update to Yahoo Mail for iOS, the developers have brought a smaller update to the Android platform. The new feature that has been added to Yahoo Mail for Android is called “People Smart View” and it allows users to create a list of all the people they have interacted with, using it. More options for using this feature will be found in the sidebar.

From now on, Android users who have a Yahoo Mail account will be able to sync their personal contacts with their Yahoo contacts. However, the feature can be disabled in Settings > Sync section, if users don’t want to have two lists and mix them. Also, if they clean out their inbox, users will be rewarded by Yahoo, but they will get only a celebratory message. And if they like animations, plenty of them have been added.

Users have also the possibility to install the beta version of Yahoo Mail, but they will download the application after signing up on As for iOS users, the features they’ve just received include a link preview (links are turned into informative cards) and a Share button (content will be sent from other applications, via Yahoo).

Users who haven’t received the update on their Android devices yet will go to the Google Play Store main menu and they will click on the hamburger menu from the upper left side of the screen, and then they’ll tap on “My apps & games” and finally, on Yahoo Mail, to start downloading the update.

Yahoo Mail has other cool features such as Quickly search, 1000GB of free cloud space, Account Key for secure password-free sign in, the option to send multiple attachments at once (photos, videos and documents), to select different backgrounds, to send an animated GIF, to check other accounts (Gmail, Outlook, or second Yahoo), and to connect Google Drive and Dropbox.
