WhatsApp is now currently used by over 1 billion monthly active users. In other words, this makes it one of the most used mobile applications out there. Today we will talk about a new WhatsApp BETA version that has just been released for Android devices.

Unfortunately, the new WhatsApp 2.16.84 BETA version doesn’t come with any new features and instead it fixes some of the bugs and issues that the developers have found in the previous version of the application. The “inactive” Video Calling option has been removed since the previous BETA version and it seems that the developers didn’t bring it back.

The WhatsApp 2.16.84 APK (installation) file has 27.9MB, which is about 400KB smaller than the previous version of the application. We are not sure yet how many files have been modified or deleted, but we will come back later with more information about this.

It is good to know that the Video Calling feature will surely make its way to the application sometime in the near future and it is just a matter of time until this will happen.
