The OnePlus 2 debuted almost a year ago and it’s possible that we might see the third phone generation sometime in the next month. Recently, some pictures leaked showing the OnePlus 3 with what appears to be a new USB Type-C port, but this is not the only improvement we’ll see on this model. There will also be a metallic body covering the mobile which will definitely be better that the plastic case sported by the first OnePlus.
The leaked pictures come from Evan Blass and some users have suggested that they are a decoy meant to stir people up before the actual OnePlus 3 release. Also from the picture, we can see a fingerprint scanner and an antenna that probably means that the mobile will support NFC. However, the dual-tone flash and laser autofocus aren’t there.
OnePlus has stated a while ago that their next smartphone launch will take place sometime in June 2016 and there have been many rumors about it since then. Some of these include speculations that it might sport a Snapdragon 820 processor with 2.2 GHz, 6 GB of RAM and a 16 MP camera. Other rumors have also stated that it will have a similar 5.5 inch screen to the previous generations, but Evan Blass said that the OnePlus 3 display will be an AMOLED one and that it will also be powered by a 3.000 mAh battery.
Users also hope that OnePlus 3 model will be priced just as reasonably as the previous models even though it might have a metal casing that usually costs more. The OnePlus and OnePlus 2 got very positive reviews for being quality mobile devices that were given affordable prices, the first one is around $300 and the second one is around $389. But there’s no reason for OnePlus not to keep it up in this fashion, is there?
