WhatsApp has currently over 1 billion monthly active users, which makes it one of the most used mobile applications in the world.
The latest public version of WhatsApp for Windows Phone is 2.16.52 and it has just been released by the developers. The new update comes with a design that’s inspired by Microsoft’s Windows 10, along with other new features.
According to reports, this WhatsApp update for Windows Phone comes with all new features that have been added to the BETA versions of the application in the last few weeks. After installing the WhatsApp 2.16.52 on your Windows Phone, you will notice that the box where you type messages has been revamped and the attach button and emoji button have been moved. At the same time, the button that allows you to make Voice Calls is now located at the top side and a profile picture has been added next to the contact name.
The new WhatsApp 2.16.52 is now allowing you to send Office files directly from the application. You will also be able to send Office files from a cloud service such as OneDrive. In addition, you will be able to preview links and mute chats individually, which is always good, as we all have some annoying friends who spam us with messages everyday.
You are now able to write text with italic, bold and even make a strikethrough text. However, we’re not sure how many users will use these text features, but it is good to know that they are available.
The WhatsApp 2.16.52 is currently in STABLE phase, which means that the users will be able to download and install it directly from the Windows Store. Once the application is installed, use your mobile phone to get verified and log into your WhatsApp account.
