If you are playing Fallout 4 on an Xbox One console, we have some good news, as MODS will be supported by this version of the game. Bethesda has made an official announcement regarding this matter on its Twitter account, where it confirmed that the MODS feature will be available for the Fallout 4 version of Xbox One starting from May 19, 2016.
If you are not sure what MODS are, then you should know that they are designed to be easy to access on any platform. The MODS will actually be created on a computer and, after that, uploaded on Bethesda’s official website. From there, you will have the option to download them to your Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC and load them in your Fallout 4 game.
We remind you that MODS were available on the Fallout 4 PC version for quite a while, and gamers have downloaded them over one million times already. Currently, there are over 830 MODS available on Bethesda’s website and we’re pretty sure that more MODS will be added sometime in the near future. The most popular MODS are the ones that are fixing bugs or that come with new weapons or radio stations.
It’s quite impressive the amount of things that you can create thanks to MODS. Hopefully, the Fallout 4 MODS will function without any issues on consoles, but as expected, there will be a few issues once the feature will be released for the game. However, these issues will most likely be fixed by the developers pretty fast.
We remind you that Todd Howard has mentioned in an interview that Bethesda will to bring fewer restrictions to the console modding. However, keep in mind that due to some legal reasons, there will be some minor restrictions.
The Fallout 4 game can be purchase from the Xbox One Store for 59.99 dollars.
